I was thinking where I can find out what companies like Google are up to. I thought about using www.technoratio.com to search for exactly that.

Big Picture 3D graphical news
Today I noticed that news.com has launched a 3D graphical news representation. It's a powerful and neat little tool. I'm guessing that it is using the sematics engine to relate the news as each of them become available from the editors.
Go to any of the news articles on the site from http://www.news.com, and you should see a graphical (developed in Macromedia Flash) showing a picture like the following:

Wouldn't it be great if the search engines do this type of sematics/related search too. I'm sure that Google is already working on this idea.
It has a 3 layer graphical representation: by Stories, Topics, and Companies.
